The Synology RS826+ is a 4-bay rackmount storage server built for edge locations, remote offices and growing business environments. It ships fully assembled with four 20 TB Synology Plus drives, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and an 800 GB enterprise cache. A 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor powers the unit.

80 TB raw capacity with room to grow memory

Four drive bays deliver 80 TB of raw storage using the included 20 TB drives and accept compatible 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Installed memory starts at 4 GB and can be expanded to 32 GB for heavier workloads. Sequential throughput reaches over 2,000 MB/s read and 1,300 MB/s write under Synology test conditions. The four 1GbE ports provide link aggregation for load balancing and failover.

Four 1GbE ports and a PCIe Gen3 slot for expansion

A 1U chassis measuring 44 mm × 480 mm × 492.6 mm and weighing 6.4 kg fits standard racks and operates from 0 °C to 35 °C. Four RJ-45 ports handle everyday network connectivity with link aggregation support. A single PCIe Gen3 expansion slot allows a compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapter to be added when bandwidth needs increase. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available for external devices. Management is web-based with DHCP client support.
