The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount NAS powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core processor running at 2.2 GHz. Four 1GbE ports with link aggregation
Network connectivity relies on four integrated RJ-45 ports limited to 1GbE speeds, which can be combined through Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. A single PCIe Gen3 expansion slot accepts compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters when higher throughput is required. Without an add-in card the maximum wired throughput remains at 1GbE per port.
Four drive bays limit raw capacity
Only four 3.5-inch SATA bays are available, capping the installed raw capacity at 80TB with the supplied 20TB drives. Buyers who need more bays or higher aggregate capacity must choose a larger chassis because this unit cannot accommodate additional internal drives. The PCIe slot does not add drive bays.
