The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage unit built for edge locations, remote offices and growing business environments. It ships fully assembled with an AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor running at 2.2 GHz, 8 GB DDR4 ECC memory and 800 GB of Synology Enterprise Cache across two 400 GB modules. Four 8 TB Synology Plus NAS drives provide 32 TB of raw capacity in the four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays.

The chassis operates within a 0 °C to 35 °C temperature range and 5 % to 95 % relative humidity, drawing power from a 100–240 VAC 50/60 Hz supply. Four 1 GbE RJ-45 ports handle everyday network traffic while the compact 44 mm × 480 mm × 492.6 mm form factor fits standard racks without additional cooling infrastructure. The 6.4 kg weight keeps structural load low for typical cabinet installations.

Sequential read throughput reaches 2 000 MB/s and sequential write reaches 1 300 MB/s under Synology test conditions, reflecting sustained transfer capability rather than burst peaks. Link Aggregation across the four 1 GbE ports provides load balancing and automatic failover during prolonged heavy access. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot accepts compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapters when throughput demands exceed the onboard interfaces.
