Compact 1U rackmount NAS for edge

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 4-bay rackmount storage server built for edge deployments and remote offices. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz drives sequential read and write speeds over 2,000 and 1,300 MB/s in tested configuration. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and 3.2 TB of enterprise SSD cache accelerate latency-sensitive tasks. Four pre-installed 6 TB Synology Plus drives provide 24 TB of raw capacity out of the box.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The unit operates between 0 °C and 35 °C with 5 to 95 percent relative humidity, drawing power from a 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz supply. Four 1 GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation for bandwidth pooling and automatic failover without additional hardware. A single PCIe Gen3 slot accepts compatible 10 GbE, 25 GbE or M.2 adapters to match network or caching requirements. Hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA drives for straightforward maintenance.

Expansion and management capabilities

One Synology RX426 expansion unit can be attached to double the bay count to eight and raise raw capacity to 192 TB with supported drives. Management is handled through a web-based interface with DHCP client support, while front-panel LEDs indicate power, drive and network status. The package includes the main unit, accessory pack, AC power cord and all configuration items fully assembled and tested. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide additional peripheral connectivity.
