Compact 1U rackmount NAS for edge and branch offices

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices, and remote business workloads. It runs on a quad-core, eight-thread AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz with 4GB of DDR4 memory. The unit arrives fully assembled and tested with four 20TB Synology Plus NAS drives for 80TB raw capacity and two 400GB enterprise cache SSDs.

Adds expansion unit and PCIe flexibility over

A single Synology RX426 expansion unit can be connected to double the bay count to eight and raise raw capacity to 192TB with supported 24TB drives. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts 10GbE or 25GbE network adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card. This makes the jump worthwhile when growing storage or network speed without replacing the server.

Handles 80TB with cache acceleration.

The included 800GB cache reduces latency and improves IOPS for the 80TB HDD array across four 3.5-inch SATA bays. Four integrated 1GbE ports support Link Aggregation for bandwidth and failover. Capacity heads up at eight bays and 192TB raw with the expansion unit, and the system operates in 0°C to 35°C environments with 100-240 VAC power.
