The Tripp Lite AV550SC is a 550 VA tower UPS designed for audio, video and networking equipment installed in structured wiring enclosures. It supplies battery backup, surge protection and EMI/RFI line noise filtering for devices such as modems, routers and RF amplifiers. Four NEMA 5-15R outlets provide both battery and surge-protected power.

Runtime and Auto-Restart Behaviour

At full load the unit delivers three minutes of backup power, extending to ten minutes at half load. A valve regulated lead acid battery recharges in under twelve hours, with a maximum recharge time of nine hours. An auto-restart feature restores connected equipment automatically after a prolonged outage without manual intervention.

Tower Form Factor and Sequential Outlet Startup

The tower chassis measures 8.4 inches high, 6.8 inches wide and 3 inches deep, weighing approximately 7.80 lb. A detachable six-inch IEC 60320 C14 input cord connects to the rear. A recycle/reset button triggers sequential outlet startup to reboot modems and routers in the correct order after a freeze-up.
