The Tripp Lite SMART3000NET is a line-interactive UPS rated at 3000 VA and 2400 watts, designed to keep rack-mounted servers, switches and storage arrays running through outages and voltage fluctuations. Eight NEMA 5-15/5-20 outlets distribute conditioned power, while an RS-232 port enables integration with management software for automated shutdown scripts. RJ-11 data-line protection shields modem, fax or DSL connections from surges.

Thermals and power behaviour

Line-interactive topology corrects brownouts and overvoltages without engaging the battery, so the unit runs quietly and efficiently during normal mains conditions. The internal battery recharges to 90 percent in two to four hours after a discharge event. Surge suppression is rated at 480 joules, and the chassis meets UL 1778, cUL, FCC Class A and NOM approvals for safe continuous operation.

At full 3000 VA load the battery provides seven minutes of backup; at half load (1500 VA) it extends to 23 minutes.
