Dual 2.5-inch SATA RAID enclosure

The Vantec NST-272S3-BK holds two 2.5-inch SATA SSDs or hard drives in a single aluminium-and-plastic housing. It connects to a host computer through a USB 3.0 Micro-B port and includes a 5 V, 2 A AC adapter for extra power. The unit supports Windows, macOS and Linux without additional drivers.

RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD modes

A hardware controller lets you configure the two bays as a striped RAID 0 array, a mirrored RAID 1 array with automatic rebuild, or as independent JBOD volumes. SATA III drives run at up to 6 Gbps internally while the USB 3.0 link reaches 5 Gbps with UASP support. Each bay accepts drives larger than 2 TB.

Fits into a USB 3.0 workflow

The enclosure draws power from the wall adapter, freeing the host USB port from high-current demands. Front vents passively cool both drives without a fan. A vertical stand is included for desk placement, and LED indicators show power status, drive activity and the active RAID mode at a glance.
