Two-bay SATA enclosure for 3.5 and 2.5 drives

The Wavlink RapidFire H2R holds two SATA hard drives or SSDs in 3.5 or 2.5 inch form factors. Each bay accepts up to 22TB, giving a total of 44TB. It connects via a USB-C port running at 10Gbps and works with Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iOS, Harmony OS and iPad OS on computers, phones or tablets with USB-C or USB-A ports.

Tool-free trays with automatic cooling

Drives slide into the trays and are secured with the included screws; 2.5 inch drives need separate 2.5 to 3.5 mounting brackets that are not supplied. Dual built-in fans start automatically at 48°C. RAID mode is set by a hardware switch with Normal, Large, RAID 0 and RAID 1 options; changing the mode erases all data on the installed drives, so a backup is essential before switching.

Verify host port and drive preparation

The 10Gbps speed requires a host USB-C port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2; slower ports will limit performance. New, unformatted SSDs must be partitioned before the operating system can recognise them. The enclosure enters sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and supports hot-swap drive changes without powering down the host. Up to three units can be daisy-chained.
