Socket and processor support

The board uses the LGA 1151 (300 Series) socket and accepts 8th Generation Intel Core processors only. Older LGA 1151 CPUs will not work. Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 is supported for automatic frequency scaling.

Installation notes

A Micro ATX form factor fits standard mounting points in most chassis. The two 288-pin DDR4 slots and single PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot are clearly labelled. If a SATA-type M.2 device occupies the Ultra M.2 socket, the third SATA3 connector is disabled.

Capacity and headroom

Dual-channel DDR4 memory runs at 2666, 2400 or 2133 up to 32GB total. The Ultra M.2 socket supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. Six SATA3 6.0Gb/s ports provide additional storage lanes.
