8th Gen Intel Foundation

The ASUS PRIME B360-PLUS is an ATX motherboard built for 8th Generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors using the LGA 1151 (300 Series) socket. It is not backward compatible with older LGA 1151 CPUs. The Intel B360 chipset provides a stable platform for mainstream desktop builds.

DDR4 2666 Dual Channel Limit

Four 288-pin DDR4 slots support up to 64 GB in dual channel mode at 2666, 2400 or 2133 MT/s. Memory speed depends on the installed processor; 2666 MT/s is only reached with 8th Gen 6-core or higher CPUs. A single M.2 Socket 3 M Key accepts 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives in SATA or PCIe x2 and x4 modes, with bandwidth shared when a SATA device is used.

Standard ATX Install Routine

The board fits standard ATX mounting points and uses a 24-pin ATX plus 8-pin EPS power layout. One full-size PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at x16, a second runs at up to x4 and shares bandwidth with the two x1 slots. Two legacy PCI slots remain for older add-in cards. Six SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports and front-panel USB 3.1 Gen 2 headers complete the I/O.
