Eight-bay SAS storage with hardware RAID

Eight 2.5-inch drive bays host 600 GB 10K SAS drives connected to a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache and battery backup. The controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode, freeing the CPUs from parity calculations.
