The frame and five steel blades are painted black; the rotor runs on ball bearings rated for ambient temperatures from -25 °C to 90 °C. IP44 ingress protection applies when the unit is mounted horizontally or with the rotor on the bottom, and condensation drainage holes on the rotor side prevent water build-up.
