The Silverstone RM22-312 is a 2U rackmount chassis built to hold twelve hot-swap trays that accept both 2.5" and 3.5" SAS or SATA drives. It fits E-ATX, SSI-EEB and smaller server boards, giving integrators a dense platform for storage-heavy workloads. The backplane connects every bay through three Mini-SAS HD SFF-8643 links running at 12 Gb/s with SGPIO signalling.

Cooling, drive access and expansion

Three 80mm x 38mm hot-swappable PWM fans provide front-to-rear airflow while the system stays online.
