M.2 NVMe to PCIe 3.0 x16 Adapter
This adapter converts a single M.2 M-key NVMe SSD into a PCI Express 3.0 x16 card. It accepts drive lengths of 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 mm. An aluminium heatsink and three thermal pads are included to lower operating temperature by 25 degrees Celsius. No driver installation is required for Windows, Mac or Linux systems.
PCIe 3.0 x16 Interface Limits
The card only functions in a full-size PCIe x16 slot and will not work in x1, x4 or x8 slots. Throughput follows the PCIe 3.0 specification with a maximum transfer rate of 3259 Mb/s. The adapter does not support M.2 SATA (NGFF) drives, so a SATA-based M.2 SSD will not be recognised. LED indicators show power and data activity.
Installation Notes
Mount the SSD on the PCB, apply a thermal pad after removing its protective film, then attach the heatsink. Secure the assembly in an x16 slot; no low-profile bracket is needed. The board uses 68 copper ventilation holes for airflow. Builders needing a second M.2 drive or a SATA M.2 device must choose a different solution.
