The Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora 280 is a new all-in-one liquid CPU cooler built around a 280 mm radiator measuring 313.5 x 144 x 30 mm. It uses a copper cold plate with an enlarged surface area and a pump rated at 2800 rpm inside a 66 x 66 x 69 mm housing. Addressable RGB lighting on the pump and Aurora LUX Pro fans is controlled through a compatible motherboard or controller. The loop uses TPV hoses with standard G1/4 fittings so the fluid can be refilled or the system expanded later.

Who should consider it and who should not

This cooler suits builders who want a pre-filled loop that can still be opened for maintenance or expansion, and who value addressable RGB synchronisation across pump and fans. It fits Intel and AMD platforms using the supplied mounting hardware. Buyers who need a smaller radiator for tight cases, or who prefer an air cooler without any liquid maintenance, should look at other form factors.

The specification that decides fit

The radiator measures 313.5 x 144 x 30 mm, so the case must provide a 280 mm mounting location with at least 30 mm thickness clearance plus room for the fans. If that space is not available, the cooler cannot be installed.
