Tower UPS for critical equipment
The APC Smart-UPS SMT1000C delivers 1000VA and 700W of line-interactive pure sine wave power in a tower form factor. It is built to protect servers, storage arrays, network closets, VoIP systems, desktop workstations and retail point-of-sale terminals from outages and voltage irregularities.
Practical limits of the interface
Eight NEMA 5-15R outlets provide battery-backed and surge-protected connections for attached devices. The unit accepts a NEMA 5-15P input plug. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects utility fluctuations without switching to battery, preserving runtime for genuine outages.
Replaces basic standby units
This UPS supersedes simple surge strips or standby models that lack pure sine wave output and AVR, which can leave sensitive loads exposed to harmonic distortion or frequent battery drain. The jump is justified when equipment requires clean power during extended sags or when remote monitoring via the SmartConnect Ethernet port and optional SmartSlot card adds operational value.
