The CoolGear T-EC2R adds two eSATA ports to a notebook through a single ExpressCard 34mm slot. It targets users who need faster external storage connections than USB 2.0 provides. The card uses a Silicon Image SiI3132 controller and supports software RAID under Windows. It is suited for mobile workstations that still have an ExpressCard interface.

32-bit CardBus compliant build

The card follows the PC Card 32-bit CardBus standard and fits a 34mm ExpressCard slot. Each eSATA connector allows cables up to two metres for flexible placement.
