Memory capacity and type

The system ships with 4 GB of DDR3 desktop RAM installed in a 240-pin DIMM slot. DDR3 is the only memory generation this platform accepts; other DDR types will not fit. The motherboard supports upgrades to 8 GB or 16 GB total if more headroom is needed for multitasking. Buyers who need more memory than 16 GB or a newer DDR generation should consider a different platform.

Simple internal access
