The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each with 28 cores running at 2.0 GHz and a 3.1 GHz turbo frequency, into a single rack unit. With 512 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory installed across 16 slots, it targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing workloads that demand high core counts in a minimal footprint. The system supports up to 1 TB of total memory for future expansion.

Storage and networking limits set

The PERC H745 RAID controller manages the ten 600 GB 10K SAS drives at 12 Gb/s and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 4 GB of non-volatile cache backed by a battery. The chassis provides ten 2.5-inch bays, so no additional drive slots remain once the array is populated. Network connectivity relies on a Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card, leaving no onboard RJ45 ports for copper Ethernet without an extra adapter.

Redundant power and included rails simplify

Two hot-swap 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide full redundancy, and the server ships with ready rails and a front bezel for immediate rack mounting.
