The Dell PowerEdge R730xd is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with 16 cores. It provides 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 slots and supports up to 1.5 TB total capacity. Twenty-four 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives connect through a PERC H730 controller with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 support. The platform targets enterprises running databases, virtual desktop infrastructure or high-performance computing data nodes.

Dual 750 W platinum supplies and hot-swap cooling

Redundant hot-swap 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver power with headroom for full drive and CPU populations. The 2U chassis uses Dell's engineered airflow to move heat across the processors, memory and 24 drive bays while keeping acoustic output within data-centre norms. iDRAC 8 Enterprise provides out-of-band thermal monitoring and alerting without loading the host operating system.
