The Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a 2U rack server built around twelve 3.5-inch drive bays. Two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors at 2.1 GHz provide sixteen cores in total. 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory is installed across eight modules. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Twelve 6 TB 7.2K SATA drives are fitted. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies, iDRAC9 Enterprise, quad-port networking and rails are included.
