Dual-socket Xeon Platinum 8468 server

The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Platinum 8468 processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with a 3.8 GHz turbo frequency. Together they provide 48 cores for heavy multi-threaded workloads such as virtualization, databases and AI inference. The system ships with 32 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory across two modules.

Front hot-swap bays and PERC H965i RAID

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays are fitted with eight Dell drive trays, allowing SAS, SATA and NVMe devices to be swapped without downtime. The front-mounted PERC H965i controller adds 8 GB of NV cache and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for data protection and performance. A Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 network card provides four Ethernet links, while iDRAC9 Datacenter enables full remote management.

Dual 1400 W redundant power and PCIe Gen5 expansion

Two hot-plug 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. PCI Express Gen5 slots are available for additional accelerators or network adapters, though the installed configuration leaves storage expansion limited to the front bays. Buyers who need more than eight drive trays or internal GPU mounting will find the current chassis does not accommodate those requirements.
