Dual Xeon E5-2650 v4 server

The DELL PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 2.9 GHz turbo. Twelve cores per CPU give 24 threads total for multi-threaded workloads such as virtualization, databases and business applications. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across eight 16 GB modules. The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays for SAS or SATA storage.

PERC H730P controller and iDRAC 8 Express

The bundled Dell PERC H730P 2 GB controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode with battery-backed cache. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet handles network connectivity. iDRAC 8 Express provides remote management and lifecycle control without a separate license. Two hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies deliver redundant power. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.

Memory scales to 384 GB across 12 slots

Installed memory uses eight of twelve DDR4 slots leaving four open for expansion up to the 384 GB maximum. Sixteen drive bays accommodate large SAS or SATA arrays but no drives are installed. Dual Xeon sockets are fully populated so CPU upgrades require replacing the existing E5-2650 v4 processors. The 5U form factor fits standard racks with an optional conversion kit.
