Dual Xeon E5-2660 v4 server for virtualization

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors running at 2.0GHz with 3.2GHz turbo. Fourteen cores per CPU deliver twenty-eight threads for multi-threaded workloads. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory are installed across four slots. The PERC HBA330 controller manages SAS and SATA drives across sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous load the dual fourteen-core processors maintain high throughput for virtualization hosts, database engines and backup jobs. ECC registered DDR4 protects data integrity during long-running tasks. The HBA330 provides direct 12Gb/s SAS and SATA connectivity without RAID overhead. Twelve memory slots remain available to reach 384GB capacity when workloads grow. Dual gigabit Ethernet ports handle steady network traffic.

Redundant platinum power supplies

Two 750-watt platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap mode to keep the system running during a unit failure. iDRAC 8 Express enables remote power control, hardware monitoring and firmware updates over a dedicated network interface. Four 2.5-inch drive trays are included for immediate deployment. The 5U chassis fits standard racks with an optional conversion kit.
