Dual Xeon Gold 5118 server

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors, each running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency and 12 cores. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory installed across eight 32 GB modules. This configuration targets virtualisation hosts, database workloads and file-storage roles that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.

HBA330 controller and SSD storage

A Dell PERC HBA330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA storage controller manages the internal drives without RAID abstraction, presenting disks directly to the operating system or hypervisor. Four 1.92 TB SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5-inch solid-state drives are installed in the front hot-swap bays, providing low-latency storage for boot volumes, logs or caching tiers. The chassis supports up to sixteen 2.5-inch bays, leaving twelve bays available for future expansion.

Redundant power and remote management

Dual 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in a hot-swap redundant configuration, allowing one unit to be replaced without downtime. Integrated iDRAC 9 Express provides out-of-band remote management for power control, console redirection and firmware updates over a dedicated network port. The server includes a dual-port gigabit Ethernet adapter, and front bezel and ready rails are not included with this unit.
