The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server designed for virtualization, database hosting and file storage workloads. It ships with dual Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors running at 2.1GHz with 3.0GHz turbo across 16 total cores. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory occupy four of sixteen available slots. The PERC H730P controller with 2GB cache manages four 960GB SATA SSDs across sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays.

Dual 750W platinum supplies

Redundant hot-swap power supplies rated at 750 watts each provide platinum efficiency for continuous operation. The tower chassis uses directed airflow across dual 8-core processors and memory modules to maintain thermal stability under sustained load. Integrated dual-port gigabit Ethernet handles network traffic without additional cards. iDRAC 9 Express enables remote monitoring of power draw, temperatures and fan speeds from any location.

Sixteen bay storage chassis

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays support SAS and SATA devices for flexible capacity planning. The H730P controller enables RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with pass-through mode for software-defined storage. Twelve DDR4 slots remain open for expansion up to 1TB total memory. PCI Express slots accept additional RAID controllers, network adapters or GPU accelerators. An optional rack conversion kit allows deployment in standard server cabinets. Builders needing front bezel or ready rails must source them separately.
