1TB capacity with 128MB cache
One terabyte provides room for operating-system images, databases and archival workloads, while the 128MB buffer absorbs bursty write traffic. The 7200RPM spindle sustains sequential throughput for streaming reads, but random I/O will saturate the mechanical latency ceiling under heavy multi-user loads.
6Gb/s SAS interface ceiling
The 6Gb/s SAS link caps sustained transfer at the bus limit, so the drive cannot exceed that ceiling even during sequential operations. Dual-port SAS topology is not exposed on this model, so multipath redundancy and expander fan-out remain unavailable.
