Camera Module with Adjustable Focus

This 5MP camera module uses the OV5647 sensor and connects through the Raspberry Pi CSI interface. It captures 2592 x 1944 pixel still images and records 1080p video at 30 fps, 720p at 60 fps, or 640 x 480 at 60/90 fps. The lens focal length is adjustable at 3.6 mm with a 72 degree field of view.

CSI Interface Bandwidth Limit

The dedicated CSI bus carries pixel data directly to the processor, but its throughput caps the maximum frame rates at the listed resolutions. Higher resolutions or faster frame rates than 1080p at 30 fps are not supported by this sensor and interface combination. The module requires a Raspberry Pi with a standard Camera Module port.

5MP Resolution and Night Vision Headroom

The 5MP sensor handles 1080p streaming and 2592 x 1944 stills comfortably for monitoring and vision projects. Automatic IR-cut switching extends usability into low light when an infrared LED is connected to the 3.3 V output. It cannot deliver 4K output or global-shutter capture for fast motion.
