Digi EX50 5G Router

The Digi EX50 is a 5G NR wireless router that supports sub-6 GHz bands with 4G and 3G fallback. It provides Wi-Fi 6 2x2 dual-band simultaneous connectivity and includes GNSS positioning for location-aware deployments. The unit offers two 2.5G LAN ports, RS-232 serial and RJ-45 interfaces for wired integration. It is built for mobile broadband routing in fixed or transportable installations.

Suited for primary or backup WAN

This router suits sites that need carrier-grade 5G or LTE connectivity with automatic fallback to earlier mobile generations. It fits applications requiring concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 access and GNSS timing or tracking. Buyers who require outdoor-rated enclosures, PoE output, or more than two wired LAN ports should look at other product lines. The internal antenna design limits external high-gain antenna options.

Integrates with serial and Ethernet gear

The EX50 connects to existing equipment through its two 2.5G Ethernet ports and an RS-232 console or modem interface. VPN support via IPSec secures traffic across the mobile link. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 offloads wireless clients from the cellular uplink. The router requires a compatible 5G or LTE SIM and a DC power source to operate. Its compact form factor allows DIN-rail or shelf mounting in cabinets.
