Seven USB 3.0 ports from one PCIe slot
The ESTONE PCIE27USBA adds seven external USB 3.0 Type-A ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express slot. It works with Windows 7 through 11, Mac OS 10.8.2 and later, and Linux. The card fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots and is aimed at users who need many high-speed ports for external drives, cameras or peripherals.
Bandwidth shared across three-port groups
Three of the ports share a 5.0 Gbps channel and the remaining four share a second 5.0 Gbps channel, so simultaneous heavy transfers on all seven ports will divide the available throughput. The onboard Renesas uPD720201 and uPD720210 controllers handle the traffic, and Windows 8 or newer uses the in-box driver with UASP enabled for lower latency.
Independent power per port with solid capacitors
Each port has its own solid polymer capacitor and the card draws power directly from the PCIe slot, delivering up to 5 V at 1.5 A per port without an auxiliary power connector. The two-phase power module keeps ports electrically isolated so a heavy load on one does not affect the others. The low-profile bracket and included screws allow installation in standard or compact cases.
