Two 500 GB 7.2K SATA drives sit behind the B140i software RAID controller supporting levels 0, 1 and 5. The chassis accepts up to eight small form factor drives and a second processor for expanded workloads.

Redundant hot-swap power

A 550 W redundant hot-swap power supply keeps the system running if one module fails. The 1U height limits airflow space, so the server relies on internal fans to move air across the processor, memory and drive cage during typical operation. Power draw will vary with the second processor option and drive population, while the Matrox G200 graphics controller adds minimal thermal load.

Eight-bay SFF chassis

The front panel holds eight 2.5-inch drive bays with trays included for the installed drives. An optional universal media bay or two additional SFF bays can replace the standard configuration. Rear I/O provides standard rack connectivity while the B140i controller restricts RAID to SATA devices only. No operating system is included, so deployment requires separate installation media.
