This HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen9 rackmount server ships with one Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 processor running at 2.4GHz and 256GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The 8LFF chassis provides up to eight 3.5-inch drive bays and includes an HPE Smart Array P440 SAS controller with two 500W flex-slot power supplies for redundancy. Integrated iLO Advanced remote management and a quad-port network card with two 10GbE and two 1GbE connections are factory installed.

Ideal for storage-heavy workloads

The eight large-form-factor bays suit organisations that need high-capacity SATA or SAS hard drives in a single 2U enclosure. Buyers who require solid-state boot drives or GPU-accelerated compute should look elsewhere because the storage controller and PCIe layout do not support those device types. The single-socket configuration also limits thread count for heavily multi-threaded applications unless a second processor is added later.

256GB DDR4 ECC registered memory installed

The system arrives with 256GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory fitted across the available DIMM slots, expandable to a maximum of 1536GB when both processor sockets are populated. This memory type is mandatory for the platform; other DDR generations will not function. Configuration changes must be requested through the supplier before dispatch.
