The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is a dual-socket rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon 5118 Gold processors running at 2.3 GHz, each providing 12 cores and 16.5 MB cache. It ships with 1.5 TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a Smart Array P408 SAS controller, but no drives are installed. Remote management is handled by HPE iLO Advanced and networking includes two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports. The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays and two 500 W Flex Slot power supplies.

Suits virtualisation hosts and in-memory databases

This configuration targets workloads that demand high core counts and very large memory footprints, such as hypervisor clusters, SAP HANA or large-scale analytics. Organisations that need out-of-the-box storage capacity or dedicated GPU compute will not be served by this unit, since no drives or accelerators are included. Buyers who require more than two processors or memory beyond the 3 TB ceiling should consider a different platform.
