PoE HAT for Raspberry Pi 3B+ and 4B

This compact HAT adds IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet to Raspberry Pi 3B+ and 4B boards. It fits inside the official Raspberry Pi case without modification. A fully isolated switched-mode supply delivers power and data through a single Ethernet cable.

Replacing a separate power adapter and cable

The board removes the need for an external USB-C or micro-USB power supply when a compliant PoE switch or injector is already in place. The upgrade is worthwhile for headless or remote Pi deployments where running a dedicated power line is impractical.

Limited to 802.3af power budget

The 802.3 standard caps available power at the device, so the HAT cannot support high-current peripherals or heavy GPU workloads on the Pi. Builds that need more than the standard allowance must use a separate power source instead.
