The LSI Logic 9305-24i is a low-profile host bus adapter that connects up to 24 SAS or SATA drives directly through six internal Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 connectors. It uses the SAS3224 controller on a PCI Express 3.0 x8 interface to deliver 6,400 MBps throughput and over 1.5 million IOPS for direct-attach storage.
Suited for non-RAID JBOD deployments
This card suits administrators who need maximum port density for software-defined storage, ZFS pools, or backup targets running Windows, Linux, VMware, FreeBSD or Solaris. It is not suited for builds that require hardware RAID acceleration or external drive connectivity without additional cabling.
PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface
