Universal Drive Adapter

The LUOM E-yield E01 connects 2.5" and 3.5" SATA or IDE hard drives and solid-state drives to a computer through a USB 3.0 port. It suits technicians and home users who need to duplicate, back up or transfer data from legacy or current drives without installing them internally. The adapter accepts SATA drives alongside 40-pin and 44-pin IDE drives simultaneously. Optical drives such as DVD-ROM, CD-ROM and rewritable units are also supported.

Included Power And Cables

A dedicated power adapter supplies the extra current that 3.5" mechanical drives require, while 2.5" units can often run from the USB connection alone. The package provides the necessary data cables for both SATA and the two IDE connector types, so no separate purchases are needed to activate all three drive bays at once. An LED indicator shows power and activity status for quick visual confirmation.

Plug-And-Play Setup

The device uses a driverless implementation on Windows Vista through Windows 10, Mac OS 9 and 10, and Linux, so the drives appear in the file manager moments after connection. The most common issue is forgetting to attach the external power brick before spinning up a 3.5" drive, which leaves the drive invisible to the operating system. Ensuring the power LED is lit before plugging the USB cable avoids this problem.
