All-in-One SATA/IDE Adapter

The LUOM E02 connects 2.5in and 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drives, SSDs and optical drives to a USB 3.0 port. It includes a 12V power supply for 3.5in devices and an on/off switch for drive protection. The adapter works with Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS without extra drivers.

Upgrade from USB 2.0 Adapters

This unit replaces slower USB 2.0 or 1.1 adapters by delivering up to 5Gb/s transfer speed. The jump is worth it when moving large archives from older mechanical drives or when cloning a 3.5in desktop drive that needs external power. Backward compatibility keeps older ports usable.

Capacity and Headroom

Drives up to 6TB are supported across SATA HDD, SATA SSD and IDE HDD formats. Optical drives such as DVD-RW and CD-RW are also handled. The USB 3.0 link saturates with sustained sequential reads on fast SSDs, while random I/O on older IDE disks remains well within the available bandwidth.
