The single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at x16 speed with standard Ryzen processors but drops to x8 when a first or second generation APU is installed. This lane reduction affects graphics cards and high-bandwidth add-in cards during prolonged workloads. The VRM heatsink array helps maintain stable power delivery during extended sessions.

Interface limits on storage and USB

Two M.2 sockets and four SATA III ports share chipset bandwidth, so populating both M.2 drives can reduce available SATA ports.
