60 mm three-pin case fan

This 60 mm fan from NIDEC uses a ball bearing and a three-pin power connector for standard motherboard headers. Three-pin voltage control limits

A three-pin connector adjusts speed by varying voltage rather than a PWM signal, so the minimum speed is set by the motherboard’s voltage floor. Some headers cannot drop voltage low enough for silent idle operation, and fan curves may feel less granular than four-pin alternatives. The 0.16 A draw is modest, but the header must still supply a stable 12 V rail.

Check header type and clearance

Verify that your motherboard or fan controller offers a three-pin header at 12 V, not a four-pin PWM-only header that may not voltage-regulate correctly.
