This unit fits environments that need silent, low-power operation with legacy and modern I/O including four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, dual LAN, Type-C and a lock slot. PXE boot, wake-on-LAN and auto power-on simplify remote management in kiosk or thin-client scenarios. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of memory or faster storage interfaces should look elsewhere, as the platform maxes out at 16 GB DDR3L and uses SATA-based mSATA or 2.5-inch drives. High-performance graphics workloads are also outside its scope.

The processor and chipset limit total system memory to 16 GB across two SO-DIMM slots running at 1333 or 1600 MT/s. If an application demands more RAM, this hardware cannot meet that requirement regardless of the SSD or operating system chosen. Storage expansion is confined to one mSATA slot and one 2.5-inch SATA bay, so capacity growth follows the same SATA constraint. Verify the memory ceiling against the workload before purchasing.
