This 16-channel PoE security system includes 16 IP cameras that record at 12 megapixels and a network video recorder with a pre-installed 4 TB hard drive. The bundle is aimed at property owners who need continuous 24/7 coverage across multiple outdoor zones. Each camera supports person and vehicle detection to reduce unwanted alerts. The kit ships with 18-metre Cat5 cables for every camera.

PoE Limits and Recording Constraints

Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by carrying data and power on a single cable, but the 18-metre cables set a practical distance ceiling for each camera from the NVR. Recording runs at 1 to 25 frames per second at 12 MP resolution, and the NVR accepts up to 12 TB of total storage. ONVIF support allows integration with some third-party platforms, although full feature parity is only guaranteed with the manufacturer's own software. Smart home and timelapse functions are unavailable when cameras connect directly to the NVR.

Outdoor Build and Connector Reality

The cameras carry an IP66 rating, meaning they withstand heavy rain and dust without additional housings. A 1.6 aperture lens helps capture detail in low light, while built-in spotlights can be scheduled or disabled through the app. Video output is provided through one VGA and one HDMI port on the recorder for local monitoring. Two-way audio works only via the mobile or desktop client, not through a monitor attached to the NVR.
