The Reolink RLC-820A is an 8MP IP dome camera that delivers 3840 x 2160 video at 25fps. It uses a 1/2.49" CMOS sensor and connects through a single RJ45 cable carrying both data and power. Designed for homeowners and small-business owners who want high-resolution monitoring without running separate power lines.

PoE Limits and Installation

Power over Ethernet simplifies cabling but restricts placement to the length of a single network run; the camera has no wireless option. It supports HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, IPv4, UPnP, RTSP, RTMP, SMTP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, FTP and P2P protocols, and it is ONVIF compliant for third-party recorder integration. The fixed dome offers no pan or tilt adjustment.

Storage Capacity and Recording Headroom

A microSD slot accepts cards up to 256GB for local 24/7 recording, while continuous footage can also stream to a compatible NVR. Infrared night vision reaches 100ft in low light. The IP66-rated housing operates from -10°C to +55°C (14°F to 131°F) at 10% to 90% humidity. Smart human and vehicle detection filters alerts, reducing unnecessary notifications from animals or shadows.
