Dense 1U dual-socket server for virtualization
The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount system with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors, each running at 2.6 GHz with 14 cores. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. A MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Four 3.5-inch hot-plug drive bays accept SATA or SAS drives.
Suited for compute-dense racks needing quad
This server fits environments that demand high core counts, large memory capacity and fast networking in a single rack unit. The X540 controller delivers four RJ45 10GBase-T ports, and a dedicated IPMI 2.0 port enables KVM-over-LAN and virtual media. Builders who need more than four 3.5-inch bays, front bezel or rack rails included, or GPU acceleration beyond the Matrox G200 should look at other chassis.
Deciding spec: four 3.5-inch hot-plug bays
The storage subsystem is defined by four 3.5-inch trays connected to an 8-port SAS 12 Gb/s RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. This combination fixes the maximum number of 3.5-inch drives at four and the RAID levels available in hardware. If the deployment requires more 3.5-inch drives or a different controller feature set, this platform will not meet the requirement.

この商品に関する質問
How much heat do the dual 2.6 GHz 14-core Xeons and 256 GB DDR4 generate when the server runs 24/7?
The system uses two 750 W Platinum power supplies and front-to-rear airflow across 1U chassis to manage thermal load from the CPUs and memory.
What drives and cabling must I supply to populate the four 3.5" hot-plug bays?
You provide 3.5" SATA or SAS drives; the bays include trays and the MegaRAID 9361-8i controller handles RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60.
Can the quad 10GBase-T ports and IPMI 2.0 link work with my existing 1 GbE switches and older KVM?
The X540 ports auto-negotiate down to 1 GbE; the dedicated RJ45 IPMI 2.0 port provides KVM-over-LAN and virtual media over standard LAN.
