The Synology RS2423+ is a rackmount network-attached storage system built for small and medium businesses that need centralised file management and backup. It ships fully assembled with 32GB of memory and twelve 16TB enterprise drives installed, providing 192TB of raw capacity out of the box.

Dual-speed networking and M.2 cache

Two 1GbE ports support link aggregation or failover, while a single 10GbE port handles higher-throughput workloads. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow direct attachment of external storage or peripherals. An M2D20 adapter adds two 400GB cache modules, accelerating frequent read and write operations without occupying front drive bays.

Sustained throughput of 3,500 MB/s read

Under continuous load the system delivers over 155K random read IOPS and 79K random write IOPS. Sequential performance reaches up to 3,500 MB/s read and 1,700 MB/s write, making it suitable for multi-user file sharing and backup jobs that run for extended periods.
