The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with 16GB DDR4 memory, a 2-port 10GbE adapter and 16TB of storage across four 4TB Synology Plus NAS drives. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor runs at 2.2 GHz to handle file services and applications.
Upgrade from slower 1GbE-only units when 10GbE
The integrated 2-port 10GbE adapter replaces single or dual 1GbE links and is worth the jump when sequential read speeds above 2,000 MB/s and write speeds above 1,300 MB/s are required. Four onboard 1GbE ports still provide link aggregation, load balancing and automatic failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot remains free for a future 25GbE adapter, an M.2 SSD adapter or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card.
