Compact 1U rackmount NAS for edge

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built around a quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz. It ships with 4GB of DDR4 memory and four 12TB Synology Plus drives pre-installed for 48TB of raw capacity. A dual-port 25GbE SFP28 adapter is included alongside four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports. The system is fully assembled and tested for immediate deployment.

Verify rack space, power and network infrastructure

Confirm that your rack provides 1U of vertical space measuring 44 mm high, 480 mm wide and 492.6 mm deep. The unit weighs 8.0 kg and operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz within a temperature range of 0°C to 35°C and humidity of 5-95% R.H. Ensure SFP28 transceivers and cabling are available for the 25GbE ports, and that switch ports support the desired link aggregation or failover modes.

Hot-swap bays, PCIe slot and expansion unit ready

Four hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs without downtime. A single PCIe Gen3 slot allows future addition of a 10GbE or 25GbE adapter, an M.2 SSD adapter or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card. One Synology RX426 expansion unit can be connected to double the bay count to eight and raise raw capacity to 192TB with supported 24TB drives. Compatible SSDs may be used for caching to accelerate HDD arrays.
