Universal SATA and IDE to USB adapter

This adapter connects 2.5" and 3.5" SATA or IDE hard drives and SSDs to a computer through USB 3.0. It also supports 5.25" optical drives using the dual-head 40-pin and 44-pin IDE connector. The kit includes a 12V 2A power supply for 3.5" drives and a USB-A to USB-C cable for modern ports.

Plug-and-play drive access with external power

The device works without driver installation on Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP and Mac OS. A built-in on/off switch protects drives during connection and an LED shows power and activity status. Hot-swapping lets you change drives without restarting the system, while the supplied 4-pin power cable delivers stable current to larger drives.

5 Gbps transfer ceiling for legacy

USB 3.0 provides up to 5 Gbps bandwidth, falling back to USB 2.0 and 1.1 speeds when required. The adapter handles mechanical hard drives, SSDs and optical media for data recovery, cloning or archiving. It cannot accelerate drives beyond their own limits and offers no internal RAID or encryption features.
