This WIILGN USB2C-8760 adapter converts a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port into a Type-C female receptacle. It suits users who need to connect Type-C cables, hubs or peripherals to legacy Type-A laptops or chargers. The double-sided reversible Type-C connector works in either orientation. Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation.

Build integration and freed ports

The compact 26.7 by 14 by 6.6 mm aluminium shell occupies minimal space beside other ports. Anodic-oxidation finish resists wear during repeated insertions. The adapter draws power from the host Type-A port; maximum input is 12 V 3 A via the integrated IC chip. It cannot be powered by a PD quick-charge plug because the Type-A side lacks Power Delivery support.

Theoretical peak throughput is 10 Gbps when both host and device support USB 3.1 Gen 2; actual speeds depend on the connected hardware and cable quality.
