Workstation for CAD and simulation

This desktop ships with a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900K processor, 32 GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell graphics card with 16 GB VRAM. A 1 TB NVMe SSD and a 10 TB hard drive provide fast boot and large project storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The 360 mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable under sustained workloads.

Motherboard and power requirements

The system uses a Gigabyte Z790 AORUS motherboard with an LGA 1700 socket and four DDR5 slots supporting up to 192 GB total. A Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply is already fitted. Front-panel I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.0 and audio jacks. Rear I/O adds 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and additional USB ports. Four M.2 slots and six SATA ports are available for extra drives.

Suited for professional modelling

Engineers running SolidWorks, CAM or CAE packages will benefit from the certified driver stack and large memory headroom. Buyers who need more GPU memory for heavy rendering or GPU compute should consider a different graphics configuration. The mid-tower case limits full-length card upgrades and the 850 W supply may restrict multi-GPU builds. Users requiring ECC memory or dual-socket scaling will need a different platform class.
